Time to change the setup?

Well recently I think back in july I picked up a RE SeX 15" in a ported box and man it blew away the old kicker cvx 15" I had. So today I finally sold that kicker on craigslist for more cash than I paid for it plus two kicker cvr 10's, sweet deal right? So I was going threw my room and garage today cleaning it up some and realized I have a stockpile of subs I've barely ever used haha.

I have two old like early 90's JL 10w0's I think, these were my first subs as a gift from a friend. Then a Ascendant Audio Assasin 10", SSA Icon 10", those two kicker's I just got, two 12" kicker cvr's, one kicker cvx 12", and of course the RE that's in my truck now.

So being me, I can't stand to have anything the same for a long time so I've decided I might throw the seat back in the truck and go with a 10" setup under the seats. Now here's my dilemma haha I've narrowed it down to three options:
1. The kicker cvr 10's and the aa assassin in a sealed box
2. the cvr's in a ported box
3. the icon ported

Now if I did my math right the cvr's are dual 2 and the assassin is dual 4 so I could wire each individual cvr to 4 ohm and then to 2 ohm across the 2. The assassin to 2ohm and then across that and the two kicker's wired down to get a final 1ohm load at the amp drawing a total of 1050 watts rms (400+400+250). But I'm not sure if it's possible since the cvr's are dual 2 yet the assassin is dual 4. I've heard you can't mix different ohm load subs but I was hoping someone could clarify that for me on here ha.

Option two would be the cvr's wired so the amp see's a final load of 2ohms which would almost be perfect because my amp does 800rms at two ohms and that's exactly what they require.

Option three would be the icon by itself in a ported box, however it's a dual 1ohm and requires 1000rms but my amp would only do 800 at 2ohms.

So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions that'd be greatly appreciated!

I'd stick with a sealed box, as a ported box usually requires much more volume than a sealed box!

Well volume I'm not too worried about, I can throw people in the back even if they have no floorspace and I've been running huge sealed and ported boxes for 15's for like 2 years so really anything would be smaller ha.

The CVR's are a matched set and would work great with the amp you have. CVR 12's sealed would require less air space saving you room. Sealed would assist in excursion control but ported would be a bit louder but take almost twice the space. 10's generaly are not as loud or hit as hard as a 12. 12's are a great choice because they can play what a 10 does and most of what a 15 can. I would figure out what your goal is for the back of your truck. function and quailty sound with a semi factory look or a ***** out screw the passenger rattle your teeth and blur your vision approach. Both have pro's and con's. I prefer the like it belonged there approach myself. your personal preference and what makes you happy in the end is what counts!

The Icon is the best sub out of the bunch and I would definitely port it. 800 vs. 1000 watts is pretty insignificant.

Yea right now I'm getting ready to build a ported box for it, but now I'm considering picking up a 12" xcon instead haha.
