good system for cheap
a few months ago i picked up a rockford fosgate power t2 12" subwoofer in a ported box with a MMATS (Never heard of this company) 1100watt (1100 watt peak, 750rms) amplifier. i have this hooked up in my 2001 f150 XLT on the 2/3 section of the back seat and man does this sucker POUNDDDD! and the stock speakers with the help of my pioneer deh-p4200ub head unit keep up with this sub well with the right equalizing. i'm shocked how well the stockers are although i'm still going to upgrade this winter (just the fronts). AND the best part.... i got it all for 250$!!!!!!!!!!!

haha a friend of mine had it and i asked her what she wanted for it and she said 250$ cause i got it and it didn't work right and i haven't used it in 2 years. so all i needed to do was redon the wiring at the sub in accordance to the ohms, cause when i first got it it would sound good til i'd turn it up to like 30 on the headunit and then it would clip (ithink) then cut out. once i rewired it she's been bangin ever since
it takes up a lotta room... but i like that cause i don't like havin a fully loaded passenger truck so it's only an excuse for me to take two people haha. but i was trying to see if i could take the 2/3 seat bottom off to set the box on the ground in between the seat mounts cause i know the box will fit in between the mounts, i just don'w know if i can take the seat bottom off. but what do you mean by "good?" what's "good" to you? loud? sound quality? loud bass?
You can take the seat apart like that, it'll all unbolts apart once you pull the seat out and then you can just bolt in the peices you want. I almost did that, but decided just to pull the whole seat when I put in my 15 ha. Besides no ones gonna wanna sit beside a 15 getting 1000rms for a long ride haha.
haha what do you mean by unbolts? and yes this sub can handle 1000 rms and 2000 peak... extremely impressive for a 12

Haha yea I have a ten that'll do I think its 1750rms sitting in my bedroom because I blew the only amp I had that'd push it haha so now it's just a huge paper weight until I can afford another one.
Ah dang I totally mis-read your question I thought you wanted to take the cushion part off to set it on the metal frame that part will unbolt. The bottom however is one solid piece so you'd almost have to cut out the section you wanted it to go through so it sits on the carpet.

Haha yea, unless they changed the rear seat's between 98 and 01 which is probably likely ha. Like on my rear seat I can seperate it all into 4 parts, the back cushion, the small seat one, the longer seat cushion, and then a metal frame that the cushions sit on.
well my truck seems to be the same.... lol. i can hinge the one person side up separately, and the 2/3 seat side can also hinge separetely (so right now for example the sub box is sitting on the 2/3 seat and the 1 person seat is folded up and the back cushion is split the same way (2/3, 1/3) so i think we have the same seat? haha
