sub/amp help

I know this has probably been asked already but I haven't found anything that specifically helps me.

Anyway, I want a single shallow 12" sub. I am pretty new to car audio so I don't really know what I'm talking about. I don't know if I should go with a 1/2/4 channel amp or sub or dual/single 2/4 ohms. All I want is something decent, nothing too crazy. I have already installed a head unit and new door speakers but those will only be powered by the head unit and not amped up. The amp will only be powering the single sub. Also any recommendations on an amp/sub combo would be great.

Sorry for the newb questions, but thanks for any help and opinions.

or would the dual 4 ohm be better?

I can't pull the links up on my WiFi at work. If the amp is 2 ohm stable choose the dual 4 ohm sub (bridge down to a 2 ohm load), if it is only 4 ohm stable then get the single voice coil sub that is 4 ohms. I will try and remember to check the links at lunch and suggest something for u. Or pm me if you are about to buy it.

sorry the change the options here but I found a good local deal on an amp. its a pioneer gm-7300m for $50

I dont know if this would work with that sub or not, or if it is quality. Would I be better off sticking with the RF for a little more $$?
This one would be ok for a single voice coil 2 ohm sub such as this one correct?

Those would be compatible. 2ohm speaker and 2 ohm stable amp.

Just put the sub in its home today. The sub/amp/box combo sounds AWESOME! I'm very impressed especially with the budget set up.

geez looks like a smoking deal to me. should really kick when done. after reading the reviews it seems the amp is going to be discontinued, so explains the great price, but the sub doesnt have good reviews. id stay away from the sub. good price but you could end up just throwing it away after awhile. for $100.00 you could get a kicker or JL 10" that should be a better product.

What box are you using? I have the same amp and a similar sub from my other vehicle. I'm trying to reuse the sub, but the box it's in, won't fit in the F-150. Thanks
