Ssa xcon 15/ aq2200

Well I just got my XCON 15 installed today, in a ported 3.5 CF box! Running 2200 watt Audioque amp, pretuning I was running a 140 (still haven't experimented with where the best place to put the db meter is, will figure it out before next competition, running at about 1/2 gain, which still needs to be adjusted as well as some other settings) and with some tuning I should easily be running 142+ (my friends 18 XCON runs a 143)...Been playing it for friends throughout the night and it pounds!! flexes my back window pretty good and my entire dash/steering wheel, windows, everything! I set off 3 car alarms in the same parking lot, 2 of which were over 150 feet away haha, the box is a monster in my truck and the roof is flexing like crazy (need to get some second skin up there). Great sound quality mix with amazing SPL. Awesome build. Below is a link to the build thanks to Justin at Triple R Performance! The videos are pretty crappy and it does absolutely no justice to actual performance (take a look at the second video at the very end at the roof flexing) Will get some better pics tomorrow and possibly a video, if you have any questions let me know. I know some people on here aren't to big on SPL so don't flame if its not your taste. Thanks

Not to bad for a single cab i'd say...

Nice build, but I hope you like port noise with it right behind your head.

What are the specs on your front stage?

Its great, I listen to a lot of country and rock and it sounds great as well as rap. Plus with the bass **** I can turn it to however loud I want and it is tuned to 33 hz

There is actually little to no port noise (at least I haven't noticed it), it would have been noticeable with an aero port...i have had my front components installed for a long time so i forgot a lot of the specifics but...Pioneer DEH-4200UB deck (older version), Boston Acoustics S85 components ampd by a kicker 250.4 (think its a ZX)....I can check once I get my truck back from ford. Thats about it, nothing too fancy at all, pretty basic system

Nice... looks like plenty of port area to me.

Although I would have had the port firing closer to the bottom of the box.

this was a very difficult box to make, really limited on what you could do with the port

Yeah I guess the sub mounting depth makes it impossible to put the port on the bottom..
