I see alot of people talking on here about component speakers for the front. I have Alpine 6x8's SPR-57C's in the rear. Here is the question. I see alot of mentions of Rainbow on here. Which components for the front. Rainbow, and what model numbers, or the Alpine SPX-17PROS? I have the the MRP-F300 50 watt per channel amp driving the speakers, sending 50 watts to each speaker. I really appreciate the input on this. Thanks.

 

Can't believe no one has responded to this. Maybe the people that "like" Rainbow could be saying that to be impressive but yet don't have any of these speakers? Hmmmmm.......I was just wanting some, shall we say, honest opinions.

 

Personally, I'd go with the 17Pro's, but I'm an Alpine guy and never cared much for Rainbows.

And the 57c's are 5X7's, not 6x8's. I'd toss those and go with the new SPR-68's while you are at it. The difference in sound is literally night and day. They should be on the market in the next week or so.
