Need Some Help

Alright I'm planning on purchasing a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD Head Unit. I already have a sub and an amp in my truck but I don't know what kind they are. They were in the truck when I bought it and I never really took the time to check what kind they were. My question is, I really don't have much extra cash to spend on speakers but with the head unit I probably would blow out the stock ones wouldn't I? What speakers do you guys recommend that I get because I don't want to put that money in a head unit and put P.O.S. speakers and there and have it sound like crap, but like I said I aint got that much to spend. So what do you think?

How does it sound now? I am assuming that you have the stock deck running the door speakers & the amp is running the sub. Stock door speakers? Mono amp running just the sub or is this a multi channel amp running some aftermarket speakers? Need a little more info to help out accurately. The nice thing about adding that deck is that it has a built in high pass crossover to protect the door speakers as well as an equalizer, should sound nice.

The stock speakers will sound a lot better once you put in the new deck, theyll be getting more power and youll be able to adjust the frequency so they wont take so much abuse from bass. But if you are wanting to get new speakers, youll need 6x8s, id recommend Infinity Kappa or Reference, Kenwood KFC you can pick them up for relatively cheap at sonicelectronix.com compared to other sites.
