sub choices

O.k. I'm on a limited budget less than 250.00 for both subs. I'm looking for 2 10" subs and they will be getting about 500 watts for both. Right now I'm looking at the JL 10W1 or the FI x10. I'd like a nice sq sub. They will have .65 airspace per sub. I don't know a whole lot about subs anymore so is there some other good names that I should be looking at with those parameters?

Just FYI, I just recently had 2 JL Audio 10W1's in an Atrend box (A372-10), powered by a JL Audio 500/1 slash amp, ran in parallel and I believe a 2ohm amp out. They did sound good, but if I wanted to crank it up, they could not hang. I switched to some 10" Kicker CRV's, 4ohm dvc, 2010 model. I know what most are going to say about the Kickers, but I will tell you what, with the mods I made to the box, and turning up the gains on the mono amp, they sound very good in the truck, and I paid $149.00 for both, delivered to my door. My point with this post is, the 10W1's are good, but they can only handle about 125 RMS watts. I like to listen to my music loud some of the time, and these 10W1's could not deliver with my setup. Just my 2 cents.

DCONS are going to be very very similar to Fi's you really couldnt go wrong with either. the 10w1s arent bad either but Id take the DCON or Fi's over JL.

Check this website out. Get everything for cheaper.
Onlinecarstereo.com
1) 10" Rockford Fosgate P210D4 for 79.99 usually 119.99
2) 10" Alpine SWR-1043D for 125.00 usually 199.99
3) 10" Kicker 10C104 for 59.99 usually 119.99
My friend had 2 type Rs in his trunk and even on the lowest sub level their still rockin your ear drums. He had to take one out because it was hurting his ears so bad and the one still slaps hard. If i was you get the the Alpine type Rs if you want a dope *** system
