i'd go with the JBL amp, but you could do a four channel amp, and use the front channels to power the speakers and the rears can be bridge for a sub woofer. that's basically what i'm doing in my f150 (but with a stereo amp)

do that with this amp and you won't regret it

Is there a benefit to doing this? How do I bridge the speakers for a setup like this? Any pics?

Clearly, as I'm sure you have noticed, I am a little slow when it comes to wires and electrical problems like this. Bare with me I'm slowly learning!

all amps and manufacturers are different some have a switch and some you just wire different. i'll try to take a pick of my mustang (i'm running it like this right now too have no money) if you buy an amp and do this make sure it's 2ohms stable on all 4 channels, also make sure it can be bridged.

here's the manual for my amp, the owners manual should tell you how to do it. what you are looking for is on page 4 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftec...nch4Ch-MAN.pdf

hope this helps.

Ahhh finally pulled the trigger after 2 months of no music and procrastination! Just purchased a JBL GTO5355. Got it on Ebay from SonicElectronix for about $300! Again, thank you, Jimmy, and everyone else, for all of your help! I really appreciate it!

I think I have bad luck with this whole sound system thing.

I got my amp and installed it and it didnt work. So instead of trying to figure it out on my own I took it to Al & Eds Autosund who came highly recommended by a couple of people and they told me the amp was blown! And to make it worse, somehow 2 of my speakers are blown! WTF!!

I sent back the amp and they are checking it and will send me a new one if it is blown.

So now instead of me messing with it all I am just going to pay Al & Eds to check my whole system and see whats up and hopefully install my new amp and speakers and I will be done with it. I miss the music I had so much! This is why I didnt want to put so much money in a system in the first place! AH so frustrating!

Sorry for the rant

D
