thanks, yea there built really nice, very beefy components. best subs yet, I wish I could port them but im done with stereo, spent so much money on this crap, had over 4 systems in just a year and a half. I may dynamat the roof but thats about it. They are plenty loud though, flexes my windows and my steering wheel, even my brake pedal vibrates.

Yea I have another song that is wayyyy insane, probably 40% more movement than what you saw in that vid. They sound great, very clean, just need a little bit of dynamat to get a little more SQ. They are very loud, way more than what most people want, but some day I will want more, and eventually when I buy an SUV i will throw in 4 18's

btl is fine, just want to try something different, i was able to listen to a 12" xcon the other week and it just sounded good on 1000w and i can only imagine what 2 or possibly 4 of them would sound like on 3000w.
and thanks, derek (dirtyd88) made it.

Nice clean install! I like the amp, my sub amp has similar internals. The Icons do look like nice subs. Similar requirements as the SI Mag v4 (1000w, 1 cu ft sealed, 20mm xmax etc). The Mag has the shorting rings and the XBL motor though, I'm curious how the distortion performance is on the Icon. Is there any Klippel data available for the Icon?

Klippel data on an older version:
http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...icon-12d2.html

Well built, specs typical of an overhung sub... comparable to a TC9, which is a compliment IMO. Le is a bit on the high side, but again no shorting rings.

Thanks!

Looks solid, a good design for an overhung sub. Inductance is higher as expected, hump at 50Hz. If only they added a copper sleeve, it would probably sound VERY nice. But overall a nice little sub.

i got to see the zcon protype at mark's house. Holy *****. the zcon 18 was nothing short of an absolute monster, couldn't even lift it off the shelf, the cone must have been 8 inches deep if not more haha, not to mention i think it handles like 3500 watts versus the xcons 1750. mark is moving to new york so my good friend clay is taking over the sales out here in AZ
