So my 4 Channel audiobahn amp is toast. There was a cut in the power wire and fried thing. Time for a replacement.

My friend is selling his Alphasonik PMA4150A 4 Channel for $200.
I can get a brand new Kicker ZX3504 for $100.
I have (4) KS502 Kicker Components (65RMSx4) for internal speakers.

Any Car amp expert know if the ZX will be more than enough for my setup? My friend showed how much the Alphasonik amp had tons of equalizer features to tune up my sound exactly how I would want it. I dunno much about the low crossover and those terms haha.

I know the alphasonik will be more enough power (150RMS per channel?) for my speakers, but will I get better sound too? Can the kicker amp provide those tuneable features just as much? I've got 2 10" Subs but want a good strong mid bass level as well. Like the preset Vocal? Yeah not like that, I want something with good mid level punch. Can the kicker do that or is alpasonik the better deal?

 

The kicker is definitely the better buy in this deal. If the alphasonik was 130$ then yeah the crossover features would be worth it, but there are DECENT indash equalizers to allow you to tune it WAY better than an amplifiers that cost 30-60$. And since you want mid bass, you shouldn't have a problem at all (even without the equalizer) that's basically what 4-channel amps specialize in (door speakers).

And with those components only needing 65wrms the kicker will push those for you just fine. Unless you plan on putting the subs on the same 4-channel amp then yes go with the alphasonik. OR a new 5-channel amp with the Mono-block channel for subs and 4-channel for door speakers, basically 2 amps in 1 (Best Solution).

Unless, you are getting the Alphasonik for under 20$ then the Kicker is still the better buy. And if you can get it for that, then turn around sell it for more and then buy the Kicker again....
