Looking to move past the stock speakers; right now I'm planning to just change out the front speakers... eventually add an amp, rear doors, and a sub.

What year is the truck? You should be able to get some 6.5" components in the truck with minimal modifications, as they use 5x7/6x8 speakers stock. You will generally do better with 6.5" mids.
With that said, but items you linked are the 5.25 Polk DB speakers. They are not bad, but not great either.
