Infinity Kappa 682.9cf on factory head unit
Is anybody running the kappa 682.9cf's off of the factory head unit in a 2009 or 2010 f150? I realize it's entirely subjective but how would you rate the improvement? I DON'T have the factory sony stereo option or nav.
The sound quality from the factory speakers is obviously junk and I'm just looking to improve the sound to something respectable and would rather that I didn't have to buy an amp right away.
Will dynomat (I think that's what it's called) in the doors help tighten up the sound very much? Is it worth the effort? What should I plan to pay a pro to do this job?
Thanks for your help guys

I ran kappas off my stock HU for about 6 months and there was a considerable difference.
Labor for a speaker install where the door panel has to come off is usually around $70, $40 if its just a grill (like the 04-08's)

I have an '05 Screw and I found that the factory speakers weren't all that bad when powered by a decent head unit. They were rated at 25W RMS and I could blast some music and it wouldn't distort.
As far as paying someone to do it, the labor rates should be around $60-80 around here.

Good to hear guys. I think I'll start with just the kappas.
I was actually wondering how much it should cost me to have the "doors treated"? If it's going to cost a lot I could prob do it myself.
