Help decising on sub

I got my system pretty much picked out and a friend is going to order it for my 2010 SCREW. Basic system is as follows:
Infinity Kappa components for front doors
Infinity Kappa 6x8's for rear door
Infinity Kappa 5 amp

I am getting a killer deal on the above that's why I am getting infinity equipment. My only question is what's going to be a decent sub for the screw, I am looking at a 10" just don't know if I want to fire down into the floor or up into the bottom of the seat? Ported or sealed? Its been a long time since I picked out a sub. I listen to mostly rock/heavy metal if that helps.

thanks in advance.

I have an 07 scab but I listen to the same style of music. I have a single 10" in a downfiring sealed box and I'm happy with it. Try looking at www.supercrewsound.com for a custom fit box for your truck.

i think a sealed box sounds better playing rock, to me sealed makes the kick drums more felt and powerful

Ok so I am narrowed down to a single sub, not sure if I want to do a 12" or
10" The price difference is $10 to $20 depending on manufacturer.
I am going to build the box myself, but is a shallow sub a requirement? or can an average size sub be used under the rear seat in a SCREW? I am thinking a shallow mount will allow for a smaller sealed box but without looking at all options I am unsure.
Should i be looking at a 2, 4 or 8 ohm sub? Single or dual voice coil? The amp will do 75 RMS x 4 for mains and 300 RMS x 1 for sub on 2 ohms.
Also if any one has built their own subbox for a single I would like to the dimensions. I know that they will be tweeked based on the sub I decide on but I am open to suggestions.

thanks again

Hey man do urself a favor. Either get a JL W3 or like me an Alpine Type R (the newer model). With a fox box from foxacoustics.com. I got a single 10" box for my 05 scab for $125 with free shipping. The sub was $130 with free s/h from sonicelectronix.com. I'm running 500rms at 2ohms and ill tell ya what, what amazing sound!! I also went with the infinity components in the front and coaxils in the back powered with an alpine 4channel. You will not be dissapointed!
