Shallow Sub location for S-cab

Hey fellas, I have a question. I have an 08 Super Cab and want to install one JL TW5 Shallow Mount sub behind the rear seat. Is it possible to install this behind my rear seat ? The sub is only 2.5 inches thick. I know about the typical under seat placement however, I wanted something a little different and wanted to possibly keep the storage there. Does anyone have a similar setup ?

Thanks!

Mounting depth is only 2.5". If you use MDF then you have an additional 1/2-3/4" in depth to the back, and you need 3/4" for the cone/surround/basket to the front, then an additional 1-2" between it and the back of the seat. You just dont have much room back there.

Though about a console box?

Yeah...I just wasn't sure if I had enough room back there or not. I will probably go with the 10" Memphis shallows under the seat then. Thanks for your help ! As far as the console box, I have no experience with it and don't know how that would look or sound. Do you ?
