need some new speakers!!!

i have a 05 supercrew and wanting some new speakers, first off ive got a pioneer 4200 deck and im fixing to get a pair of dd1512 subs on a 1000d memphis amp, ive seen alot of yall talk good bout the polk db571 but would i have enough highs with them for the amount of bass i will have? any suggestions on speakers and amps?

I have 4 db571 with no amp running off a cheap Sony deck and I like them very much, they sound great especially for their price (IMO). I only have 2 10in kicker cvts so I'm not sure what they'll sound like with DD subs. What were you thinking of box wise? Whatever you do you can always tune your amps and head unit right and will still have a nice system with plenty of bass mids and highs.

like jw does it have any distortion at high levels since it isnt amped? the audio shop is gonna build the box to the specs of the subs , i kno its gonna be ported but thats all i kno, like do u kno if u can amp the db571 or are they just made to use off a aftermarket deck?

With that kinda of boom going on, your going to need more power to doors and probably a little better quality then the polks. With that much power and ported its going to be a loud monster. Id look into something maybe like a 200w+ 2 channel to run to some door componets.

That would be a great idea. I can only tell you what ive heard. What 1 person says sounds good may not be what another says. Anyone that tells you differ is either a liar or doesnt know what they are talking about or just trying to make a sale. Amps are easy for a basic setup, dont stress over that.
First what id do is decent what kinda coin i wanna drop. Then find the best componet set for that money. What ive heard from others (I bought a set, havent installed) for under 200$ the hybrid image series are great and can be compared to speakers much more expensive. I do know that the owner was closing out some demo/stratch-n-dent stuff. If interested PM me and ill dig up his email.

Amps are easy. Once you decide on speakers, and how much power they want. Id go just over RMS and have extra power on tap. Then decide how much coin u want to spend. Amps are easy to find used, people swap them out a lot.

With an amp, normally. Its easier to leave the factory wireing there and just run external. Thats if you dont have molex plugs for the doors.
