Kicker Comp CVT Problem

Alright guys just came across a annoying problem. I have a 12" CVT hooked up to a 300.1 Kicker ZX amp attached to a stock headunit. The other day I noticed the sub would make a annoying rattle when it would hit and it just started and its not turned up. Is the sub going bad? I wouldn't think so because it is only 2 years old.

Mainly rock when it hits hard a few spots. It never has before. Seems like all of a sudden the amp is throwing out more power for some reason ha ha and i haven't tweaked it at all

Have you checked out the subs and all connections? Maybe something changed on the HU or bass ****. I have my 10s on a kicker 750.1 and haven't really had any problems. I have 1 song on my iPod that just blows my subs out and i have noticed that the suspension has got really loose after accidentally playing that song too loud. I've had them 2years and pushed them pretty hard at 4ohms.

Your probably pushing the sub past its limits. Turn the gain all the way down, turn the bass boost off on everything, and turn the headunit bass setting to id say 1/3 max.

Turn your music up to max listening volume that you would normally listen to, now adjust the gain on the sub amp until it distorts, then back it down a hair. Now if your still having a problem at lower volumes, the sub is probably done.
