Factory Sub Replacement
Factory Sub Replacement
Hey Guys,
Been reading a lot about replacing the factory audiophile sub in the F-150's. I'm looking at possibly getting the kicker or pioneer low profile that fits in the factory box. My question is, how does it sound? I don't really want to mess with running all the wiring and what not for a bigger amp, box and sub, but would like a little more bump from the factory system. What do you guys think of these? I did a search, but couldn't find very many reviews.

The factory amp will bump pretty good if you run it off an aftermarket headunit or run a JL cleansweep to override what ford does to castrate the factory sound. The 8" kicker CVT is a perfect fit in the factory sub box.
I bought a factory sub from a guy on here and connected it to my Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD HU and I'm impressed with it. I had driven a truck with the Audiophile system before buying mine and was not impressed at all. I guess the better HU makes the difference.
Just sell your audiophile system on eBay for atleast $100 and get all new box amp sub LOC and wire for like $150 like I did and you can have tons of more bass for a low cost. if you wanna know more just let me know. I bought 2 10" subs off eBay for $50 and free shipping. you can too bcuz it was a company
