New speaker reccomendations

Back in feb when I got my tax return I added two amps and all new speakers to my system. I put in the lower end kickers in all four doors, kicker DS 680.2 components in the front and regular DS 680 2 ways in the rear. Well fast forward a few months and now three of the four midranges are dead and the one that still works is buzzing, so now I'm looking for something better. I'd like to keep the cost at around a bill per pair and I want components for the front and just some 2 ways for the rear.

I'm using a kenwood 8404 4 ch amp pushing 50w per channel.

BTW shopping locally is out of the question, all we have in the cleveland area is a few hole in the wall stereo shops that sell junk to the wanna be's and of course the way overpriced best buy crap.

I found these for the rears http://www.woofersetc.com/p6372/TSA6...l-Speakers.htm

and these for the front http://www.woofersetc.com/p8733/TSA1702C--Pioneer-63-4"-(Oversized-61-2&quot-230-Watt-2way-ASeries-Component-Speakers-System.htm

Anybody have any experience with the pioneer TS-A series?

What I would do personally in your situation: either put the stock speakers back in the rear and run them off the head unit, or just delete them period. Then, since your budget is $200, skip the mainstream garbage and pick up a set of Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine 6.5" components for the front and bridge your amplifier to 2 channel mode to power them. You will be very pleased with the results.

I just put in Alpine Type-R speakers, all the way around. Paid about 300 bucks both pairs. I went with the 5 1/4 separates up front and the 5x7's in the rear. With my stock Audiophile HU and stock sub, my mid bass and clarity was greatly improved. Well worth the money. Very easy install.

My next step is adding my JL 300.4 to power them.

The stock stuff is all gone, I sold it thru the classifieds.

Have anymore info on the Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine stuff? Never heard of them.

I have a set sitting in my closet. They dont fit the baffles i made for my ppi356's. I got the last set he had on closeout from his Daytona show, i think they might have a few sets left @ 150$ in the cali location. I stopped looking in the classified because i was buying stuff i didnt need.

I ordered the pioneer 1702's from woofers etc. and they called me and said the pioneers are on national backorder. They offered me a free upgrade to a set of CDT audio components. Here is the link they sent me on them http://www.woofersetc.com/p1090/CL61...t-Speakers.htm

When I get them, I'll report what I think of them.
