Full Setup

I am looking at installing and all new system. Head unit, speakers, sub and amps. I have a 2001 F150 King Ranch. My understanding is that I have 5x7/6x8 speakers. I am no expert on electronics but have the means to install it all, but I need to make sure everything I get is compatible and efficient. My thoughts are definitely doing head unit and speakers first and foremost. Depending on what that will cost, I will probably do a sub and amp as well if I can't get good sounding bass out of any door speakers, but that will involve building a custom box in place of the console in between the back seats etc etc. But anyways, I was looking at the Alpine SPX-17PRO Component 2-Way 6-1/2 inch Speaker System 300 Watts. Should I do four of these? Or just these in front, and then what would I put in the back? I will be getting an amp of some kind. Thats another thing that I need help pairing up with some speakers. I guess that depends on what I do in the back?? I am prepared for a little modification if needed on the door speakers. I think they make a plate to modify the 5x7 to a 6.5" speaker that seems pretty simple. And any suggestions on any other speakers/setups would be great. The speakers just need to have enough bass to last until I get a sub, or to where I wouldn't need one. Thanks in advance! I know it was long winded, I just need some !

do the headunit swap and a nice component set up front. personally i like rainbow but they are a bit pricey. you get what you pay for though. put an amp on the components and a second amp to run subs in the rear that you will add later. there are so many options on what you can do . take your time and investigate some products. make sure if you change the door speakers you do door treatments, it works wonders.

What is a door treatment?...Damn I feel helpless haha....And also, I had O2's in my last truck and loved them. I saw their 3 way compnent system, but would that take too many mods in the door to make them fit? And would the 2 way provide enough bass for the time being? Thanks again
