Box Build - ID10v3

Finally got going on a box build for my bro's '06 Scab, have been planning to do this for months and finally got around to it.

The box is 31.5" wide x 18" deep. Its 8" tall at the bottom (left side) and 5" tall where it goes toward the back of the cab. The box is all 3/4" MDF except for the top, which is 1/2" for a little more clearance for the sub.

His truck has a seat lift and it fits perfectly under the seat... it goes under the wider portion of the backseat. The sub will be downfiring and the 3" port will fire into the passenger side wing door.

The glue will dry overnight and I'll sand/paint/carpet and install it tomorrow.

The box is 1.42 ft^3 and is tuned to 32hz. Has an F3 of right around 30hz.

Got the box done and installed today. Made a small mount for the amp under the backseat as well.

Sanded the box down:

Painted the box and carpeted the parts that'll be exposed, the box fits too snug to carpet the whole thing:

Fits great...

Amp and box:

how is your sub getting enough space to hit? Seems like it would hit the floor?

There's actually plenty of room for the sub, more than 2" of clearance.

Not a greatest pic, but...

With the seat lift, why not do a 12 or maybe a pair?

Kind of complicated... This is sort of a temporary setup. We both moved to where we are now for school... wasn't planning the seat lift in the beginning and I just brought out some equipment I had laying around that I thought would work in his truck for a simple setup. After realizing how much room you get with the seat lift I'll probably build a ported box for a single 12 in the fall. I have enough stuff laying around at home that I couldn't justify buying another 12 for his truck... can just bring one out with me after the summer.

He's also moving out of his place this week... with a garage, the only space I have/had to work in.

This setup really is impressive though... plenty of output.

LOL, that'd surely be louder, but I don't have another ID10 and don't want to buy another. I have an E12O, Dayton Titanic MKIII, and RE SE12 sitting in my basement at home. Just have to pick one for the fall build.

Plus I wanted to keep his setup simple... using an MTX 6304 to power the whole thing.
