New Sub Box Design with pic

hello all.. well my box cracked again so i finally decided to make a new box for my two 10" Memphis m3's. the box will have a divider and each side will have .78 of airspace. the mounting depth of the woofers is 5.6" so i added an extra piece on bottom and on top to give the woofer a little more room. let me know what you all think of my design i was thinking of leaving the front part of the box open and close up the sides so all the air can move out the front and not the sides like my current box is. not sure if this will help but im thinking of giving it a shot.

Looks like it'll work really well and that it uses pretty much every inch possible.
How many cubes is it?

Ah, the reason I asked is because you said ".078" in the first post so I was a bit confused.
Good luck on the build.

Looks good! But you know what? If you're looking for cleaner sound, fire the bass towards the rear. If you fire the bass right out the front, lower frequencies will sound more distorted than if you fired them towards the rear because the pressure at the end of a wavelength actually decreases over distance and sounds cleaner, which is why subwoofers in SUVs sound better when they are down-fired or rear-fired as opposed to up-fired or front-fired. But this is mainly if you plan on cranking the sh*t out of your bass!

With that little airspace I'd keep it sealed up all around. Otherwise it looks good. Will be a very tight fit and those protrusions on top might not let the seat pans go all the way down...

what do you mean by keeping it sealed up all around? as in the ends?? keep them comming i want to build this box right the first time. the seat pans will go down cause the box im currently using have the same protrusions and fits just fine. the only reason im redoing the box is cause the box i currently have cracked again and this would be the third time i would have to re-seal it so i think its time to make a new one.

I was under the impression that you were porting it or leaving one of the side panels open? Sorry if I got confused. Basically I was saying make it a completely sealed box.
