Anyone have a Pio 8" low pro sub?

Who has a Pioneer TS-SW841D 8" sub? How does it sound in a scab truck???

I want a 10 but i think i might only be able to fit an 8

I am looking into the Pioneer TS-SW841D 8" sub because I want to mount a sub under the center seat of my bench. They also make a 10" TS-SW1041D which would be my first choice but it requires .35-.7 cubic inches of volume in a sealed box which by my calculations the space can give me .22 cubic inches.

box materials? possibly all fiberglass instead of mdf?

If you can't get the volume with MDF, Fiberglass will work (use an MDF panel for the speaker mount). Be aware, glass is significantly more work.

Yeah, glass is a PITA!! Matter of fact, I just made a mold of the rear under seating in my 07 super crew for two shallow subwoofers 13.5" or smaller to fit entirely under the seats with no seat lift. Not only is glass very crazy to work, but it's expensive. However, you do benefit with air space, and loads of it! By the way, the shallow Pioneers are great subs! I put a 12 in my girlfriend's Explorer Sport Trac and I beat the snot out of it the other day because my truck was in the shop for a replacement power steering pump (under warranty, yay!) and it sounded awesome. Of coursethe 8" isn't going to be very loud, but it will give good low end that your doors just can't handle.
