Help with adding Audiophile to my XLT

I have a 2006 F150 XLT SuperCrew,

I want to add the Factory OEM Audiophile system, from what I understand its a different head unit, a amp and sub, and different front door speakers (component).

I need to find a head unit with the 3rd connector in the back, the wiring should be there to plug in the sub and amp, and I need to find the OEM front component Audiophile speakers on ebay.

So pretty much everything should be plug and play?

Would I be better off just getting the headunit and amp/sub and upgrading all 4 door speakers to some bostons OR pioneers? Budget ~200-300 dollars for the 4.

Would these work for the fronts?

Will they just mount up or do I have to cut drill ect?
Thanks

It is hit or miss whether the sub harness is there, most likely miss, other than that, everything is plug in play.

Just get components for the front, up to 6.5" round will fit with adapters. Go with high (91+) sensitivity if you are not going to put an amp on them.

Rear speakers should just be for some fill in the back to keep the soundstage in front of you. I'd leave the stock rears, or even disconnect them.

Check out sonicelectronix.com woofersetc.com for deals.

Here are some pictures of what the speakers and wire harness look like in a 2008 with audiophile.

Our 06s hook up the same, but we've got 4" front woofers rather than the 6x8s you see in greencrew's.
