What do yall think about these components, i know pioneer makes quality stuff but does anybody have experience with these? I currently have the pioneer avic-f700bt h/u with stock speakers and a kicker l7 12"...

depends how much you want to spend ? and what amp are you going to use, the stock headunit won't have enough power for most speaker to sound good .. you kind of need to match your speaker to what you have to power them, or you will be disapointed when you turn them on..... if you want pioneer these sound really good if you have a amp for them ..

and if you want to spend alot more, these are what i have.. a guy who works there sent me a massge on a car audio forum and gave me the forum disscount on them for 900.00

I've been real happy with my Image Dynamics CTX65CS component system. They're fairly cheap and sound great. The time you spend prepping for the install is the biggest factor in whether or not a set of speakers will sound decent and you can get pretty extravagant here (deadening the doors, sealing the doors, making MDF baffles, etc.). Here is a pic of mine:

I think I'll go with the 5 1/4 seperates. I plan on doing this myself and I am not into custom making things..lol!!!
I know they will include that plate that comes with the purchase, so I'll be doing that, but at least I can see where to mount the tweeter..
Is it hard to take off the front panel? Where are the screws that I am looking for??
