That box protrudes out quite far, and it looks like it sits pretty high due to the height of the woofer and the "bump" plate for the magnet. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the ride is uncomfortable back there to be honest.

 

my trucks got a hump in the middle back too, in all the pictures of the box (including the ones on the internet) there is no hump in their trucks. will it still work with a hump?

 

I have that box in a '07.... It doesn't protrude much at all.. The pics are deceiving. Also you can scoot the box further back towards the rear of the truck.. maybe mine is tucked a little farther back so, no protrusion.. As for comfort.. I have full size adults in my backseat daily... Nobody can tell the box is under the seat other than the vibes from the subs. Any criticism of this box is really unfounded and it WILL hold the W3's.

 

That foxbox is the best box out there for our trucks IMO. It's the box I'm getting along with some ID subs when I decide to finish buying stuff for my system and start the install.

 

in that pic the box isnt all the way back. ive sat back there, there arent any booty prollems

 

the hump is no prollem, it allows for humps

 

Also just to clarify, the person that makes this box is into plastic molding for oil rigs. The boxes are A side gig. This means this isnt a mass produced pre fab. The box is quality, there isnt any better way to utilize the space than with this box unless you do a seat lift. That being said there is no need for anyone to chime in comparing it to PREFAB boxes. There is no comparison. I know these things from speaking to the owner. When I ordered my box the order wasnt processed properly and I had to call in to see where it was at. The customer service was fine.

I agree with Stealth... I searched forever, and this is the best we can do to get subs, with any kind of mounting depth, under our seats.

My friend has had the newer w3's in his truck for a year now. He used a supercrew soundbox and made an extension for the magnets. Just get creative, it is easy!

 

Now that looks a heck of a lot better! I wish I would have considered that box before I built my box and put two garbage 12" P3S's under my back seat.
