The Best Out There
The Best Out There
Hey everyone, i know everyone posts the exact same question "whats the best...?" and ive searched and read but read negatives for everything.
At first i had a ProBox ported with a kicker CVX with alpine 500 watt and was pretty happy with it but sold it to a friend.
I next got a huge super bass ProBox with an alpine type-r 12 with an mtx 600 watt amp and that thing pounded. unfortunately i got my car broken into in the school parking lot and got everything stolen.
people say that Fox Acoustics dual 10 box with JL W3v3-4s are the way to go but i just dont know if it really bumps hard like i want.
Ive also seen the ProBox loaded with the 2 8's that is 800 watts rms and yeah 2 8s doesnt sound good but 800 watts rms sounds really good for under the seat. But i also read that its not the way to go and you can definatly get better for cheaper.
Also ive looked at the JL stealthbox with 1 10 W3v3 and for 700 bucks that sounds like a rip to me.
I would just like to know from you guys that actually know something and experience with subs what your opinions are of the best that will bump the loudest and hardest. price isnt really a concern but im trying to find something that will go under the seat and maybe even bolt to the seat frame so it wouldn't get stolen.
Thanks guys. i appreciate it

the fox box has the most airspace and mounting depth, with that more sub options are available. focus on a good amp, that way getting almost any subs to hit hard wont be an issue. i use jl equipment, the 10w3v3 sound good, have some punch. they arent an spl sub.. there is actually more sound from these than i actually use.
The best way to go is custom, hands down. Prefab boxes are easy, but if you want great sound you should get one built professionally. It will fit your install better and will complement your speakers better. Seat lift or no lift? A lift opens up a lot of options.
i still have my MTX JH600 watt amp. i mounted it behind the seats and the thieves were too dump to realize that i guess.
Seat lift is an option but id prefer not. although if i can get alot better sound and more bass then im sure its worth it.
I have the tools to build a custom box and fabricating whatever i need but i just dont know where to get started for directions and what i need etc..
