kicker cvr12

I have two,2 ohm.I have them wired like this,the 3rd option.

the paralleled-series...
but everywhere ive looked ive seen none wired like this.i havnt hooked them up yet to my alpine m500,i dont want to cook anything.any help or comment would be great!

Its the alpine mrp-m500,500w rms x 1 at 2 ohms

I just looked at your link,thats the way most are wired,crutchfield where i bought the subs have that,but the kicker website shows the one wired paralleled then in series.which is better?both give you 2 ohms i guess

that one from kicker is opposite.......parallel coils.. then series woofers

yea,thats the way i got mine wired,they are ready to hooked to the amp,but im wondering which one i should do.the amp is mono.
paralled-series,or series-paralled?same thing i guess only one lowers ohms,then raises

i would go with coils in series. subs parallel. then ur amp will see a 2 ohm load.. should be fine, also sound good......

Now that i have them hooked up,what do i do with all the diff levels of bass,gains.....the kenwood headunit has bass boost,it also has sub level preamps where you can raise or lower that,then the amp has of course the gain adj,but also has a bass eq adj.so I was planning on turning off the bass boost and the sub level to half way on the kenwood,then adjust the gain and bass eq on the amp to my liking,that way i can give it more or less bass depending on the music being played.cuz Korn is really bass heavy but some old Zepplin is nice an punchy.Am i good or is this the wrong idea?
