budget system

I am looking at Alpine Type - S speakers, Alpine 45Wx4 inline amp, and Receiver for around $500. For bass and different budget, looking at SC sound single box with ID 10 inch sub or something comparable. 2 or 4 ohm sub and what would be a good matched amp for my system?

Any suggestions? I also considered doing a higher end receiver with factory speakers alone with a bass package.

I listen to mostly alternative music. I like a good clean sound over loud sound.

iphone and steering wheel controls are a must.

I went with the Headunit and sub(s) for a while with amped stocks. Sounds ok if you can get the midbass off the stocks, but its lacking.

From the past weeks research what ive read to be common is to leave the stock rear speakers to the headunit (or off completely) and get a 2 channel amp and a set of componets for the front doors. This is what all the SQ guys recommend.
Ive been looking at the pheonix gold RSD 6.5 set. Ive seen them for around 80$.
A moderate 200w 2ch amp should push those well enough prob run you 100-150$ max.

Headunit is up to you. But somewhere around 200$ or less should be easy.

Anybody ever used the Maxxsonics MX-2. Then could just add 5 channel amp, door speakers, and sub. Then when budget allows next year, add a new H/U
