Yet all you keep doing is pushing this Alpine amp and offering no other alternatives...

Ha I hear you on that. Took me 2 hrs for my first one, and that was on a 97 F150 that had a single plastic panel covering the HU, and an aftermarket one already in there.

Shoulda been a 10 min job tops. Always looks easier in your head.

Keep in mind that the farther the amplifier is from the battery, the larger the wire you will need to provide the current draw that the amplifier demands. It might only be 200w RMS, but unless your amplifier is super efficient, it will draw more power than that and the farther it is from the battery the more stress there will be on the wire. 8awg can handle 1600w no problem if it is a few inches long. make it 15 ft and it can handle dramatically less power.

I personally would run 1/0 with to the back and use a distribution block just incase you ever want to add more amplifiers (which you will).

Alright after mix matching various post in this thread I believe this is what all I would need, please correct me if something needs to be changed.

One of these two amps are what I've been thinking of.
Cadence Xa125.4
http://www.powermaxelectronics.com/p...&idcategory=10

Alpine MRP-300
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013TVALU

Wiring kit for the amp
Should I spend the extra money for this or just add a distribution block to the other option? Also what fuses would I need?

http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KLM-AK0

Wire for the speakers. 10 gauge is the best I could find on that site

Would I need to buy more wire for he ground wire?

I have this amp pushing the same speakers and it sounds wonderful. If need be I can provide alternatives. If I had to choose b/t the two it would be the Alpine. I'm glad that link work for you. I'm not trying to step on anyone's shoes here just giving my opinion on something that works for me b/c we have a similar setup.

Go with the straight 1/0 kit and buy 2 distro blocks and maybe a foot or 2 of 4 ga wire, or buy the dual amp kit, run off of 1/0 power. Price out both options, and see which is more cost effective.

10 ga is sufficient for the power that your Polks can handle/will need.

I've had good experiences with Cadence products, but not the newer models. They may be made differently/more cheaply, as many companies are doing with thier newer lines. There may be less expensive alternatives that would work well with the budget install you are doing - as Ive said before, Crunch and HiFonics will do rated for under 100$, as will Profile and several other budget companies. Shop around, because realistically you do not need a top of the line 4chan with your given install.
