2 or 4 ohm

looking for a sub to replace my old one. whats better a 2ohm or 4ohm sub. new to this. itll be powered by a 600watt 2channel kenwood amp thats bridged down to one channel. just curious which is better

it's all relative to your situation. Are you only one sub? If you are then get a 4 ohm because I don't believe that amp will run 2 ohms bridged.

In your case go with a single 4 ohm. I have had and still have older amps of this line the KAC PS-150 and they are still working today. I have used them to run single subs, component sets, and even in tri-mode. Only ever had to get them worked on after one of my older cars was rear-ended and totalled. It caved my trunk in 13 inches. I took them in for repair just to be on the safe side. I don't know of any amp on the market that can take that kind of impact.

yea i had it hooked up to a older jbl lc1250 4ohm. got greedy and blew it the other day
