so im wanting to build a sub box and its going to look like what you see in the picture about. 18 inches tall, 13.5 wide, and 20 inches long. its going to be put in my back seat between two seats that im putting in. can you tell me if my 2 10" subs will fit in here and sound good?

thats pretty much the same kind of design i have on mine except mine sits on the floor and seat in the middle. im running 2 10's with enough airspace so you should be good if you do the math

Ah yea easily for 2 10's maybe 2 12's if you check the required air space on the subs.

Would 7 inches of breathing room for the subs be too much?

Is that 18 inches on the inside or the outsides?

If its 18 inches on the outside from top to bottom, and your using 3/4 mdf, then dont forget that youll lose 1.5" on the inside top to bottom. Same with all other measurements.
