Replacing Factory Speakers

I want to replace the factory door speakers on my 2001 Supercrew 4X4. Is it hard to do? I read that the speakers are 6x8 correct? Would these speakers work good?

I still have my factory HU but plan on upgrading it soon as well. Just looking for some speakers that sound good & have good sounding low end bass. Any recommendations would be great as well.

Thanks!!!

Rockfords arent bad but they deffinitly wouldnt be my first choice. I have infinity Kappa's, a lot of guys on here like polks. The alpine type s are also a good stock replacement.

Is it hard to install them? How bad is it getting the door panels off?

I would suggest you look a crutchfield.com if you plan on doing it yourself. If you buy the speakers through them they will supply detailed instructions and the wiring harness you will need at no extra charge. They have good prices and great customer service. I buy most of my stuff through them.
