01 Supercab Sub box

I'm looking for a sub box for an 01 scab to put under the seat. Single 10 or 12. What are you guys doing for boxes? Preferbally without a seat lift.. and a downfiring box.

fit is going to fit as good as the rest of the prefab boxes for u nder the seat, but on caraudiofactory you can get it carpeted or have it sprayed w/ the bedliner type stuff

just build your own like i did. those ones you can order most of the time dont have enough airspace to meet the minimum requirements of most subs and thats cuz they dont use a seat lift.

check the link in my sig for pics

thats fine im just letting you know that its gonna be tough to get enough space under the seats without a lift. you can have the best subs and have a box with not enough airspace and they wont sound near as good as they can. my buddy had the same subs as me in his ext cab under the seats when i had them in my regular cab and mine hit alot harder than his. then he sold them to a friend with a rav4 who put them in a big box in his trunk and they hit alot harder than they did in his truck

well ya but a rav4 also has alot more airspace inside too, check out pioneer and memphis shallow mounts, they only require .50 cu ft per sub

Yeah that's very true. I'm thinking I'm going with a Mach 5 IXL5 10" driver - link http://www.affordabledrivers.com.au/...&products_id=4

It wants atleast .6 cuft in a sealed box and a mounting depth of 5.5" - check out the Dimesions heading.. I'm taking the "depth" to be mounting depth.

If I picked up a music moose single box, link http://musicmooseaudio.com/ford_f_150b_single.html
it'll yield .84 cuft and has a mounting depth of 5.75"

Thoughts?

Thanks!

in that case you would be correct. the mounting depths should match up good and your good on space. i was thinking you were going to run 2 subs

Yeah I was thinking about it, but I like being able to fold up the seats if need be and I think a good 10" sub and amp will be more than enough in this truck!

another great choice! Id go with the SAZ 1000D because you shouldnt run the IXL past its rms rating. also you can keep your stock electrical with the SAZ 1000D
