I put 5.25 round on plates in front. And 6.5 rounds in back on plates as well. That rear door speaker sits up on this riser doodad. Lots of room, but I'd steer clear of 6X8. After having lived with a good set of Kicker Coax as my rear stage, I've decided to pull them out and replace them with a pair of good tweeters. Unless you amp your rear speakers, they just don't sound that good or provide respectable ambiance IF you have good, amp'd speakers in the front. (and I do).
Bottom Line: IMHO, Don't sweat your rear stage. Spend you money on good seps and amp for the front.

Question SuperCrew stock speaker sizes

What size speakers will fit in the front and back locations of the '01 SuperCrew? Crutchfield lists both 5" by 7"s and 6" by 8"s. Will 6" by 8"s fit without modification?

Thanks. I've never liked my music coming from the front speakers, and in every vehicle I've owned, I've always faded the system so the rear speakers were louder. Just my preference.
