Post Infinity Reference or Kappa

The reference is 2 to 75 watts and the kappa is 8 to 90. I normally don't blast the music. On the standard radio about 40% output is fine for me. Crutchfield has them at the same price, but he list price is higher for the kappa. Is it higher quality. Any idea if it would be okay at the lower end of its power range.

Look around, Haze10. There's lots more sources out there. In another of your posts, you said you were unsure about using an amp. If you use Infinity's, Kappa or not, you're very definately going to need an amp.......otherwise, you may as well go to Pep Boys and buy a pair of Sparkomatics.

I have the infinity Ref. and I am very impressed. I can crank the stock head unit all the way up without any distortion. The refs. are good if your not going to swap HU but if you are then go with comp. I wish I had waited because I am swapping head units next weekend.

The reference sound real good with the stock deck.

Haven't heard the Kappa 5x7s, but the 6x9s sounded real nice in a 4runner off an Alpine deck.

I'd say if you're keeping the deck, go with the reference, if not, go Kappa.

Haze10, sounds like the Reference series is what you need. I have been very pleased with the reference speakers in my truck.
