Post ? for captainoblivious

I saw the pictures of your speaker installation you posted the other day. I want to install tweeters in exactly the same location. Did you make or buy the "holders" that the tweeters are sitting in?

Thinking of Kenwood component system (KFC-P603) and Kenwood KAC-529S amp (trying to keep the cost down). Any comments/suggestions? This will be my first time installing component speakers.

Thanks!

007 - actually I was lucky. I got the Pioneer Premier components, and the tweeters cam with 2 holders, one that would have flush mounted them but would have required a larger whole to be drilled. And the angled holders, which is in the picture. It worked out much nicer because I only had to make 2 small hole, 1 for the wire and 1 for the screw to mount it. So I guess if I ever take them out I fill in the 2 holes with glue and paint over it for factory look.

Hope that helps.

captainoblivious,

Thanks for the info! The Kenwood description mentioned "angled mounts" and now I understand what that means.

Your tweeter install looks great (and so do the ones done by Slammed Expy and Shooter, that you referenced).
