They give you a little better thump, tighter for sure. Wow I thought I ordered a one of a kind. In addition to what shown in my signature, I did also remove and paint the honeycomb grill, black as soon as I got it. Used flexable bumper paint, that you have to bake into the plastic. Spokane A' - I grow'd up in Puyallup WA. Me and my come out each year to visit pops. We might have to connect up on the way though to compare rigs!!

Bart: In case you haven't found it already, John did a very good job of detailing the speaker swap, check it out at http://www.alienmind.com/speaker_inst/ with his instructions I was able to replace all 4 in an hour and a half. And since I was sure I was not going to be re-installing the factory "Premium" speakers I cut the factory plugs off the speakers and soldered them to the new speakers.

Good Luck on your install.

Wink

Thanks for the info. Fortunately, I did download the post on the speaker install.

Did you use any Dynamat?

Your truck must look great - must be very sharp with the black grill. If you have a picture, it would be fun to see it. Did you leave the valance dark gray? I think it looks fine with a black truck but am still curious.

I'm in the Spokane phone book and please stop by. We have 5 bedrooms, so you are welcome for a nights rest and Ford talk anytime.

I would like to hear more about the chip when you get it, if you get a chance.

Take care.
