songs that hit hard
Nickleback is garbage. How can you even listen to that crap?
So true. Rap sucks. Hiphop...totally different story. There are some really good underground hiphop groups out there whose lyrics aint all about thug life. The only "mainstream" artist from those genres that I really kinda like is Kanye West.
Give me some good ole country music any day. REAL music with REAL bass, not something that was made by a computer.

I like country too. Whats great about country music is that the majority of it is well recorded, unlike a lot of the compressed crap you get nowadays. On a high quality sound system, poor recordings sound like absolute garbage but a high quality recording sounds fantastic.
If you're into the whole heavy/extreme/death/tech metal thing;
(listed below are albums)
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal & Miasma [both have crazy kick drums]
Between The Buried and Me - Colors
All That Remains - The Fall Of Ideals
As Blood Runs Black - Allegiance [especially the song 'My Fears Have Become Phobias']
Pantera - anything, Vinnie's kick is HUGE!
For some punk/hardcore type stuff;
Rise Against - Sufferer and The Witness
No Trigger - Canyoneer
Thrice - Illusion Of Safety
Pennywise - About Time
NoFx - Punk In Drublic
I don't listen to much of anything else when I'm in the truck.
But if you got a really clean sounding system and got some really nice highs, check out;
Andy McKee - Art Of Motion
Antoine Dufour - Existence
It's progressive acoustic. No drums, no bass, no vocals. Occasionally another guitar or violin. Amazing music and sounds amazing when listened to on the right system.

I actually like Nickelback's new album. It's been in my deck for about a week now.

Yall need to shut the hell up and listen to what you want to listen to, and let others listen to what they want to listen to. I hate people that dis one kind of music, but get mad when someone else disses their kind of music. And it's ALL 'real music' to who ever thinks it's real music. How did this thread become a debate on what music is good and whats not? He just asked for some songs that hit hard. List them and move on.
May be a little bit older but I like Chevelle
