I need some help with door speakers!

The one thing that I don't know much about when it comes to trucks is the audio system. But I guess thats why I can ask you guys.

I had 2 10's behind the seat of my 2005 reg. cab, but I took them out because I needed the room. I am wanting to atleast upgrade the stock speakers so I can have a little better sound. I read the post about the polk audio being the best bang for your buck, but I open to other suggestions too. I only have the stock headunit so can I upgrade speakers with this and without running an amp or will I need to purchase one of those too? I'm just trying to get an idea of what I might be spending and spending my money on haha.

Thanks Guys

forgot to mention that I mainly listen to country, rock, and a little bit of rap so I would like to have a little bit of bass, but not a lot or I would just put my subs back in

When using a stock HU, look for speakers with a lower starting RMS wattage. The stock HU will drive those better, and you'll get better sound.

JL audio TR's are about $110 and have a low rms rating, i think 50, they are very efficient and sound amazing
