What Kind Of Set Up ??

New to the Audio portion of this forum. But i wanted some opinions on what kinda set up i should do. My factory subs i like the sound of them but i just want a little bit more bass in and around the truck. So question is now what should i get ? Do i need to buy a need box for underneath the seat ? What are some good setups guys have done for fairly cheap and still hit harder than factory ? What size size sub should i go with and what brand has a good rep and is still not that expensive ? Would this be a good set up too get with either 2X10" or 2X12" . http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...Id=122&catId=2 or what about this one http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...d=269&catId=56

Edit: also forgot to ask what kinda amps should i get or be looking at along with wiring ? how hard is it to install into a truck ? I also want to be able to control the bass from my factory head unit like i can now not like some peoples truck or cars to even where you put the bass on the lowest level its still hittin pretty good.

I will try to help you!

Okay so you seem like you don't want ridiculously loud bass but you want to have bass. What i would suggest is perhaps what i have, 2 rockford fosgate
p2 8" subs. These 8" subs are great and you can definately tell they are there but at the same time you can still here music well. Another sub i would reccomend is the l5 or l7 by kicker these subs can come in truck boxes and are pretty loud with good quality. If you got the Rockford fosgate p2's you would probably need around an 800 watt amp but i use a M500 alpine amp(1000 watts peak) and they seem to work fine without being over powered. For boxes i would look into building your own, it is not to complicated but you could always go with a standard prefab truck boxes. Or you could go with a JL audio Stealthbox which many people on here seem to love. Hope i helped

ya start with price range then we'll help narrow it down as best as we can depending on the things you've specified in your post

I dont want too spend a fortune like i was talking on the forum about the 08 Screw Seat/ Sub Box and ------ has a great set up and was looking at that and seems like its something good bc the box and speakers came out too about $320 and then its where the amp and wiring comes in too play is how it just cost soo much so i mean buying the box for $150 and finding some jl10w3v3 on ebay shouldnt be a problem. Its now the amp and wiring what im looking at and dont want to spend like more than $300 for an amp but then again i dont know how good of an amp thats gonna get me. So i guess im looking around $700 and doing the install myself if that sounds reasonable

Edit: Like these http://cgi.ebay.com/JL-AUDIO-10W3v3-...3A1%7C294%3A50

But i will try and find it cheaper. How much will just 1 12" sub make a difference over my stock 8" right now? Would it be better getting one 12" or trying to find 2 10" speakers or whats your opinions on this as well to get some good bass out of

1 12" will make quite a big difference over the stock 8".....however you're not going to fit that sub under your rear seat without a seat lift....you can get a custom made box to fit 10's if you make some mods for the magnet....people here in the forums have done it but i know that 12 wont fit without a seat lift

So you said the 12 inch wont fit with out a lift what about this one ^^.. I dont know how good of a deal that is with the sub/amp/box/wiring harness for the setup but if anyone has any opinions on this chime in. Also im sure it will fit in my truck but let me know? Just to be on the safe side. This is the split 40/60 right?

i was just specifically referring to the JL 12w3 he wanted to put under the rear seat but ya shallow mounts like 4x4autiger stated would work also i dont know much about shallow mounts myself but there are lots of people on here that do.
