Even Cheaper Yet...

Hey guys, I decided to jump on board with this cheap box just to see how it does, until I launch my fiberglass project when it warms up in the spring.

I found another site thats cheaper still, even over the other link posted in the beginning of the thread.

I plan on running a couple cheap MTX 10's that I've had laying around for a while to start, will post back any news!

After reading your thread, I was pondering over which box to buy for awhile. I just bought the FOX BOX (nice design and well built) because I didn't want the frustration of buying a box that might not perform well... ... installing two DVC 10" Kicker Comp CVR's wired at 2ohm with a Kicker ZX750.1 amp. Hope to finish my install this weekend!

well all I can say is that the subthump box works extremely well with my jlw1v2. The only complaint I have is there speaker connectors they are the wedge type and the bass hit so hard it blows them out. So if you go with this box make sure you get the speaker terminals that screw in. with the right power boooommmmm. Done deal

Well, what's the word after the Kodas went in ?.

Here is a few of mine. I got it a few weeks ago and have tried it with MTX 4510 subs, and some old JL 10w0's and have had good luck. Its a bit small compared to what it could be (big notch for the center tunnel) but it fits under the seat with zero impact to footroom, etc which is what I liked.

Both sets of subs I installed had a depth of around 5.25'', and they fit with no mods. If you want anything deeper than that, this box is not for you, unless you want to modify the top to allow for a deeper magnet.

I got the box even cheaper than the site listed in the beginning of the thread here: http://www.fadfusion.com/selection.p...er=20082405672

Anyway, here are a few pics:

Well I finally got around to installing the amp and wiring up the subs and for the money this dual box works great. I'm no audio pro but for me this was just what I needed and it has made a huge difference in the sound quality of my truck.

Thanks to mSaLL150 for his help and to PartsChaser for posting the pics.

Guys, I just got this box in, and am running 2 RF P1S410 10's off of a RF R500-1. The sound is good but the subs are hitting the carpet sometimes and sound like garbage! I tried to put a piece of wood as a spacer in, but the seat wouldn't go all the way down. Anyone have any suggestions?

Reviving this thread!

I was considering building a custom box for a pair of Tang Band 8x12's that I have until I found this thread. For the sake of cheapness and saving time, this box and the RF P1S410 subs seem like a great combo. I was thinking about running them with an RF P300-1...

Did you ever get this combo working well? Do you think you might be over-driving the subs and are bottoming them out? If these things bottom out too easily, I might have to revert back to my 8x12 plans.

Any luck on 12's

Just got my new supercab and I want to put in some shallow mount 12's. (preferably 2). Did anybody every figure out if it is possible with this box or what design plan to follow to complete the job? I had 2 12's in my old exploder and I would hate to lose them.
