Today I installed a 250 Watt 6.5" bazooka sub. I have a 2009 screw 4x4 lariat without the Sony system. Let me tell you, I love it. It will not make your neighbors 3 doors down wet there pants, but if you want a full sounding system without spending a lot, this is for you. I am glad I went with it. I got it off EBAY for $209.00 shipped to the house and it cost about $50.00 for wires and stuff I bought to install. To say it's so much better over stock is a understatement.

 

A few questions: Where did you mount it and did you consider the 10 inch model? I'm considering the 10, but I'm not sure if it will fit under the rear seat.

How's the quality? I'm used to custom boxes - in my last car (rx8) I had a 10 inch eclipse in a custom box with a 5 channel eclipse amp and an audiocontrol LC6 pre-amp. It sounded really good but it didn't "scare" anyone. I liked it - deep sounds, full, but not overdoing it.

I replaced my current f150 front speakers with eclipse component speakers in the fronts and it sounds great, so far, but I'm debating a tube because I don't want to go through the hassle of a complete build-out like I've done in the past.
