Restraint Control Module relocation.

I was taking measurements for a fiberglass center jumpseat box today and I found the restraint control module. The module is under the center jumpseat, directly where I was going to be downfiring my sub. Will this effect the control module? If it will, can I relocate this module? I believe it controls the airbag system and may be fragile. Advice? My truck is a 07 Scab.

I left mine where it was. The subs shouldn't affect it more than any other electronics equipment in the cab. I've been running mine there w/ subs for at least 20k miles now... and no issues.

Thank you kuruption, I was a little bit worried. But if you have had your subs there for over 20k then no problems.

Thats probably the only module in the truck I would be scared to touch. I would assume it would be safe to move, but I have 0 experience with that system. (other than to hook up my airbags to blow with the alarm armed and the keysense, ign and a few other necessary wires messed with.... )

If you are scared to touch this Module Low, I will definitely not be messing with it. Thank you very much.

Ive wondered the same thing. Ive contemplated putting my amps there a few times, but Im not sure if I would pick up any kind of interference from that thing or not so Ive thought of moving it. Like Low said, Im a little leary about moving it though, I have no idea what problems it might produce.

I think thats the one that I noticed had the arrows on it that are supposed to face foreward?? I assume with enough impact something in there triggers the airbags......?.?.? I dont want to F something up and not have my airbags deploy if I smash into a truck or something.

I might have to do some research on that thing and see what can be done with it.

hehehe...I would absolutely love if you could teach me how to do that...

hey, theres a crapload of BBY's hiring installers right about now. Our hiring freeze is over and we can finally fill positions that people vacated during the holidays. I know our bay will probablly be short an installer if/when the FT gets a lead spot at another store.
