Just bought 09 Screw. Love the truck but hate the audio system. It sounds horrible and distorts long before you get to max volume. I would like to put an inexpensive amp and either 1 or 2 10" subs under back seat as well as replace door speakers. The wife has me on a tight budget so price is more important than performance. I mostly listen to rock/hard rock. I have never installed an amp before, but you don't learn until you try. I found a thread on how to remove door panels but I don't have a clue on good, inexpensive speakers. I think a mono amp will be fine and I understand how to run power, but am confused on how to run rca into factory head unit. If anyone can give me basic wiring info on amp to head unit and what kind of amp and speakers/sub(s), it would be greatly appreciated. I will not be amping the door speakers, just the sub. Also a little confused on 2ohm/4ohm setup and the purpose of that. Thank you so much!!
