Underseat Box Build Itea. Give Thoughts

I have an idea in my head about building a sub box and wanted to get some opinions. Under the rear seat of my 07 screw there is a metal pan that supports the butt of the person sitting in the back seat to keep it from sagging. My thought is to remove or cut out that support because if you push up on the bottom of the rear seat where the metal pan is not located it seems that you could gain up to 3" of space under the seat. My sub box with the woofer down firing would act as the metal support to keep the seat from sagging. Any thoughts on this? I'm gonna start my audio build in the next few weeks. Im gonna put a single 12 RF P2 if my idea works.

I see the LMI seat lift kit but my wife already complains enough about lifting our kids into there car seats so I really dont want to lift the rear seat if I dont have to.

Design underway!

Again with the seat pan out of the rear seat I am going to be able to fit a Rockford Fosgate 12" P2 under my rear seat without a seat lift kit. Here are my plans for my sub box.

Keep in mind that the full bottom of the box is not shown in the above pics. I hope to start my build next weekend. I will update with pics as I go.

I got a supercrew sound 2 10'' box out of a 07 f150

If interested its loaded with 2 orion c2d2 10's all about 6 months old I have a kenwood 9125d 900watt mono amp as well if interested . I just installe a lmi seat lif 2'' It was a breeze given you have the rite tools My new enclosure will fire forward and have 2 re 10se subs ported each side of course my kinetik hc 1800 will sit rite between the subs mounted behind the enclosure baffle I am a carpenter by trade but this has certainly been a challenge to design.Any way The seat lift seems expensive but you get what you pay for very high quality. The 2 orions are more than sufficient I just enjoy tweaking things and this is a hobby. Dont be intimidated by a seat lift its only 2 inches and kind of nice being able to see out the front from the rear seat for a change. If interested I will cut a smokin deal on the orion /kenwood setup. Thanks.

Built the box last night

Changed the plans a little bit.

Sunday I am going to remove the seat pans and put the box in to see how it fits. I'll post up some pics of the fit when I'm done.

The 60% portion is shown, but the 40% is the same.
