Do you think you NEED rear fill speakers in a supercab?
I'm planning and plotting a system in my 06 Supercab. I'm thinking of buying really nice components for the front....something like Boston Pros, Focals, DLS, Hertz....along those lines. I'm wondering if you guys thing there is a need for rear fill in a supercab truck. I could get 2 2 channel amps or one 4 channel amp if you guys think rear fill isn't needed. PLUS, it would save me money because I wouldn't need to spend money on the extra power or speakers.
I'm thinking like this...
Boston PRO 6.5s
JL Audio 13TW5
All powered buy an Alpine PDX5. Bridge 2 channels to the Bostons and the sub channel to the JL.
Opinions/Suggestions?

Only if you have passengers. In the past I have noticed people in the back have a hard time hearing the front components. So, normally I'll have the rears off (faded forward), and when passengers I'll fade it back towards middle for rear seat passengers (typically only for talk radio though).
So I would say just keep the stock rears and turn them up when you need them.

I say you should replace the rear speakers with a respectable set (not stock) but I've faded the entire system to my front Polk components and though it sounded good it still seems like something is lacking behind. I have some rear fill but not much, just don't have it so loud to where it draws the sound behind you. Yes the main soundstage should be upfront but you're not in a Opera house where the acoustics are amazing and it doesn't matter where you sit, you're in a truck and the interior wasn't built for amazing sound.
