Door Panel Removal

I have a 97 lariat w/ pw/pdl/pm etc. I need to replace the speakers in the doors, and in the back for that matter. How should I go about getting the paneling off of the door without breaking anything?

i have a 97 F150 truck. I'd like to go about replacing the speakers in the front doors. I am looking for pointers on tools and where to start. I've searched the 'net but a lot of tutorials are for later model trucks.

I am new and your help is appreciated

if its a 97 its either a regular cab or scab. if its a scab then the left rear speaker is a pain to do. other wise do you have power options? if not its very simple and i can get you pics tomorrow.

I appreciate your quick responses guys! It's a 97 supercab no power options, manual window, no actuators for the doors...
long bench on the front, and bench on the back

ill get some pics but its basically removing the piece from where the mirror is mounted, and the long piece at the rear of the door along the window. the window crank and handle then it basically slides up. the rear seat needs to be removed to get to the driver rear speaker. i didnt but it was a pain and cut my hands up. ill get some pics later today

I got the cover on the rear of the door off, along with the mirror cover, I have two tabs but they don't look like they unscrew, how are these removed... also how can I remove the window crank, I can't tell if I need additional tools to remove it.

sorry for the late response but I did go out and buy the right tool to remove the window crank. I got a good pair of speakers nothing too showy but they are 200w peak they currently sound great with the stock stereo... now ... how the heck do you get this thing out??? looks like I need to pull apart the dash... or is there a way to get the stereo out w/o taking the whole thing apart?
