Newbie here: Simple sub box question

Hi everyone,

I've used this site unregistered for a while and the knowledge that you can get here is awesome. I've never had to start a post to ask a question, because most the time it's already been asked. If this has been, my apologies. Question pertains to my 2006 Supercrew.

I've been looking and searching through this (and other) forums to try and find an alternative to the MTX Thunderform. I want to be able to put one 8 inch sub and a small 200 or so RMS amp under the rear seat, without giving up the jack. the amp'd Thunder does this, but i want to use my own choice of amp and sub.

Is there a sub box that occupies the area under the rear driver side seat only? All the boxes I find (like the supercrewsound) extend to the center area of the bench seat. That's the area I want to put the amp. I want to use a JL 8w3v3-4 sealed and it only needs .3 cubes. I dont have the tools to build the box myself, or I would already be trying.

Anything helps.

Thanks all!

JL stealthbox
mount the amp on the back wall

jack stays in place

but the JL box gives you a 10'' driver not a 8''

Check out the Q-Logic box for 2004-2008 F-150 Extended Cab and Crew Cab. It would give you room for an amp and uses a 10" driver. The rear wall is a better place for an amp, IMO, and where I have mine. I'm using the Q-Logic box with a Polk db1040.

Ummm

All I have to say is WOW.

Describe it .....kinda hard to do.

I had 2 15'' DD in an extended cab that was too much...

I have had 1 12'' Orion XTR

I had 4 12W3's too much

I have had the stock Audiophile.....pathetic

I would say that even though it is the ported variety..It has to be one of the most impressive little things I have ever seen. Hands down the most accurate cram and jam I have ever seen. This thing will play sub 20hertz

Amazing....

I have had several people here thinking I had 2 12''s under the seat.

pretty impressive

Did I do the description justice?

You could always make your own box. I just made one for a friends 04 scab. It was just a 8" MTX Blue Thunder and amp rack under the 60 split rear seat section. I ended up making a template out of cardboard. This helped out alot. I also used spray on bedliner instead of carpeting. My friend just wanted a little low end, nothing to much. Took maybe 1 hour to drink beer and build, well mostly drink beer.

I will have to get him to measure the box for me. I can't remember the specs of the top of my head. Sorry I have not hit you up yet I have been working 7 days a week between my 2 jobs. I will try to get the specs for you on the box. But like I said it really wasn't that hard to build. I also used 3/4" mdf.
