Which setup to go with?
To start with I have a 07 supercab. Now the question. I have 2 kicker cvt 10's brand new ( I got a really good deal on them). I also have a 12" Alpine type R dvc (from my prior truck). I also have an Alpine MRP-M450 (from the same truck) and a new Alpine MRP-M500 amp(also got a great deal on it). I also have an old school kenwood KAC PS-150 to power the front sound stage. I was wondering to either 1. Go with the 2 kickers in a downfiring with the M-500 amp or. 2. Go with the 12 in a center console box using either mono amp. What do you think?
I think that my goals would be quality over quantity at this point in my life. I used to compete many many years ago and had a 147 db system. This was when I thought louder was better. Then I guess you could say I grew up. ie priorities change. Wife, Kid, 4 dogs, House, you know the American dream. My last system was a single 12" in my Ranger with Polk Audio DX 6's up front and DX 7's in the rear. This was alright for a budget build, but lacked a good front soundstage.

For what you have now, Id probally go with the R off the 500. Or even better...4 Types R's off 2 Rockford 10001bd's at 1 ohm. Put that in a Charger SRT 8 the other day. Wanna talk about brain rattling...
Im running the Type R off a memphis 500d sealed. IMO it sounds pretty good. Ive never heard a 2k system but it sounds a little better then my older 3X 10 memphis studio sub i had.
I think i wanna rebuild the box downfireing because it sounds better standing just outside the cab with doors open then inside.

If you are going to be building a new box go ported. Take Low e Reds sig. If ported, always tune to CRF 33Hz... aka the Golden Number. He knows his chit. I just don't think I have the room to go ported in a center jumpseat box.
