hardest hitting
well...Your question leaves a LOT of doors open for sugestion. There is soo much more than a "hard hitting sub" that you have to throw into your equasion. What style box are you running, sealed, ported...whats the mounting depth? how many watts are you willing to run? what kind/size of wireing are you going to use...see what I mean. and thats just the start of it. but just for *****s and giggles Im running a kicker L7 10" with a 600 watt amp in a ported box tuned to 33hrtz and it shakes my extended cab around like its full of mexican jumping beans. I dont know, just my 2 cents I guess. You can go and buy and 600+ watt sub and amp and throw it in a box and it will hit as hard as you turn the volume up to but sq will be greatly reduced...thats where its at.
Gotta give that a

I have a 05 reg cab and for sub/amp combo I have a 12" Kicker Solobaric 4-ohm L7 with a Kicker 750.1 mono amp and I can pretty much destroy any average multiple sub setup with minimal settings. I learned a long time ago you get what you pay for with car audio and from the looks of it you could probably get 4 of those kenwoods and it wouldn't hit as hard or tight has my L7. Too many 12's and you setup sounds sloppy, if you want tight bass get a good single 12 or a nice 10 even two 10's. Sounds like you need a lot of basic training so I would hit up the Crutchfield learning center it's really good. If you want a nice system think of it this way. The head unit and amps are your brains, you skimp on those and you door speakers will suffer. Get a pair of nice components up front and a decent set of rear speaks but fade the sound mostly towards the front since this is your primary soundstage. The amp depends on how many voice coils your sub has also, lots of stuff here to determine my friend. I suggest you choose your head unit (I use Pioneers), speakers and subs then figure out what amps you need to run it. Based on what speakers/subs you choose then you have to find and amp that is close to the RMS ratings of what you picked, then to determaine how many channels depends if its a Dual Voice coil (DVC) or single (SVC) which will help the wiring process. Maybe sloppy is the wrong phrase, how about bad soundin. If you got a million quality subs in there it might sound ago but all those subs vs your little door speakers there's no way you would get SQL. You get a few of the cheaper 12's and it just sounds bad especially if you try to push them cause a lot of the cheaper subs don't even have a magnet that can push the cone accurately creating "sloppy" bass.
what about 2 12 kenwood 3012's and a crucnch 2000 mono amp thats just a cheap set up i dont want to have to spend a fortune on this stuff i aint got much money im 15 and no job yet i mean theres lack in that area of work economy sucks
